ABSTRACT
The selection of a site fundamentally affects the nature and success of a development. No amount of careful design or promotion can totally overcome the disadvantage of a poor location or a lack of demand for the accommodation at an economic price irrespective of location. Land is unique and every site has its own characteristics. The site acquisition process can be very frustrating and unpredictable as many factors, some outside the developer’s control, influence its success.
