ABSTRACT

Contractor's programme prepared prior to the signing of the Contract. Anticipated use of preliminary items throughout the contract period. Principal observations on Contractor's programme. Contractor's claim for Extension of Time and Reimbursement of Direct Loss and/ or Expense and Commentary thereon by the Architect. Annotated chart of progress achieved. Quantity Surveyor's ascertainment of Direct Loss and/or Expense. The individual events recorded below are in chronological order but the effect upon progress, and therefore upon our costs, cannot be isolated in a similar fashion. Thus the calculation of our entitlement is given at the end of this submission. The Worked Example is intended to provide a practical application of the subject matter addressed in this book rather than amount to an exhaustive listing of all of the heads of claim that a Contractor could pursue.
