ABSTRACT
Derelict land until recently formed a greater and greater part of our environment, as old industries ceased operation and new businesses decided that establishing their operations on a greenfield site was preferable to the possible inconvenience and additional expenditure involved in the reclamation of derelict, contaminated or despoiled sites.
