ABSTRACT
It is not possible to draw a clear dividing line between design, specification and construction. Designers should possess a working knowledge of how the structure will be built and the problems the contractor is likely to face on site. Equally necessary, the contractor should understand the basis of the design and the reasons for the specification requirements.
