ABSTRACT
How has it come about that we have identified ourselves so carefully with our will, or with our intelligence? And why have we detached those entities so meticulously from the bodies that support them? Many factors have certainly contributed to this narrowness. But among them has been our suspicious attitude to the earth itself.
