Ventilation Requirements extracted from various authoritative references. BS5730:1979 Code of Practice for Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning in Buildings. Information is given on the design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of ventilation and air conditioning systems. The Approved Document F to the Building Regulations contains references to four clauses in Section 2:-
(i) Fresh air supply (clause 2.3.2.1) required for the dilution of odours, tobacco smoke and carbon dioxide exhaled by people. Table gives recommended quantities for various spaces.
