ABSTRACT
As far as the control of relatively complex industrial facilities is concerned, there is no doubt that man is indispensable. In evolving situations, his capacities for analysis, diagnosis, forecasting and decision are required for correcting defects, but also for adjusting recommendations. Automatons do not have these capabilities.
