ABSTRACT
The summary is the most important section of a toxicology report, and as such we will treat it separately in this book. Many reviewers may read only the summary, provided it is clear and contains all important aspects of the study and its results. In addition, the summary may be used on its own or may be copied directly into databases or summary documents, technical data summaries, new drug investigators’ manuals or product safety summaries. Therefore, the summary of a toxicology report must be able to stand alone.
