ABSTRACT

Bose has S.B., S.M., and Sc.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with the latter degree earned in 1956. From 1957 to 1960, he was an assistant professor at the institution, becoming an associate professor in 1960, and a full professor in 1966. From 1958 until 1964, he worked as a consultant for Epsco, Edgerton Germeshausen and Grier, and Standard Oil. In 1964, he founded the Bose Corporation, one of the largest and most successful audio-equipment manufacturers in the world. He is currently chairman of the board and technical director of that company.
