An American vertical-cut (lateral-cut from December 1919) record made at United Phonographs Corp., Sheboygan, Wisconsin, from 1918 to February 1922, and at Bridgeport Die and Machine Co., Bridgeport, Connecticut, from March 1922 to 1925. Matrices, from Paramount and Plaza, included jazz and blues, by King Oliver, the Original Memphis Five, and other admired groups. The label continued to 1927. [Rust 1978.]
