ABSTRACT

When we refer only to one form of globalization or, worse, to globalization in the singular, we beggar the question of just how many forms there may be. In so doing, we neglect their corollary implications. Thus, we find ourselves at a loss for theoretical tools with which to get a handle on the spectrum of occurrences giving recent rise to what may (or may not) be an entirely new world order (Smith and Borocz 1995).
