This chapter provides an overview of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to show that the Crisis Management Plan (CMP) is one of the major elements of the plan.

The BCP consists of three major elements:

is developed to minimize the potential for a disaster (or crisis) to occur. The plan consists of policies and procedures that employees should adhere to before a disaster (or crisis) strikes. It consists of planning elements such as the Risk Analyses, Security Plans, and Facility (Building Engineering) Plans.
