ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 focuses on the role of the Executive Management Team (EMT) during the three stages of a crisis; that is, during the Pre-Crisis stage, the Acute-Crisis stage, and the Post-Crisis stage.
During the Pre-Crisis stage, the EMT plays the major role. The EMT’s responsibility includes recognizing that the organization is faced with a developing situation that could be disruptive to the organization and preventing it from moving into the Acute stage.
