Introduction

In 1978 my first book was published in Fes-Morocco. In December 2001 my twelfth book was published. My first three books comprised a comprehensive critique of so-called ‘Scientific Socialism’, both the theory and the practice. Another six books were published between 1986 and 1995 aiming at diagnosing the causes of the current political and socio-economic problems of Egypt and endeavouring to present what I believe to be the remedies to these problems. As of 1997 I started to address ‘the mind’ that is behind the ill situation that has prevailed in Egypt over the past half century and led to numerous conditions of deterioration in several arenas. My last three books, published in 1998, 2000 and 2001, dealt with the mind behind the problems and a number of culture-and education-related aspects.
