In the previous chapter I argued that domination is morally unacceptable in a democratic society. In this chapter I shall search for an alternative approach to school leadership which is socially just and is not preoccupied with control and subordination. Moreover, in rethinking school leadership, I will keep in mind the idea that headship is an identity within which domination is long established, as it is rooted in class teaching.
