ABSTRACT

One consequence of the previous discussions on actual and potential infinities is that when a necessary layer structure is spotted and clearly described, then the relevant differences can be more adequately discovered. In particular, if potential infinite is seen as an ongoing progressive process and actual infinite as looking back at a finished process, then separations between these two concepts of infinite can be clearly made. Such a metaphor of actual and potential infinite can lead to the following discussion on how to get rid of some other paradoxes, known as either simple or composite contradictory paradoxes, as soon as conceptual criterion and judgmental criterion are distinguished from each other.
