ABSTRACT
The international cooperative efforts of the Ministry of Health, World Health Organization, and the United States Centers for Disease Control enabled the serodiagnoses of the HIV virus in 1985. When the Special Programme on AIDS of the World Health Organization (WHO) was established in January 1987, three objectives were proposed: mobilization of education and resources: mutual support for programs, promotion of research, and intervention.
