ABSTRACT

The fast growing field of socially responsible business is difficult to keep up with due to the increasing interconnectedness between business, government, and the non-governmental sectors of society.1 The walls between the three are blurring as the boundaries between the issues of the day and geography are increasingly coming together. While business, the flow of capital, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and information increasingly have become global in the post-cold war world, governments have retained their national focus, losing ground as a result. This has produced a pressing need for new solutions that respond to new demands for accountability and access from all corners of the globe.
