ABSTRACT
Viral hepatitis Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. The illness presents non-specifically with malaise, fever, anorexia and right upper quadrant abdominal pain. Impairment of normal liver function results in jaundice, with dark urine and pale stools. Viruses whose major tropism is the liver are referred to as hepatitis viruses, and are identified with different letters of the alphabet.
