ABSTRACT

Forty-eight-year-old Laura encapsulated her culinary culture: Food is important for the pleasure of eating. We eat more for pleasure than necessity in my family. Our diet is very varied-we like to change all the time. We like to get up in the morning and talk about what we’re going to eat that day. For the first course we always eat spaghetti. We all love it. And then we eat roast beef, or roast chicken, or meat cooked in tomato sauce, potatoes-more than anything, potatoestomatoes, salad greens, zucchini, beans, lots of variety. Look, a little of everything, that’s what we eat.
