ABSTRACT
Transportation systems are primarily mass transport systems, moving themselves and some load or cargo to a desired place and time. These systems are more complex, though, and serve richer purposes than just moving things around. They have usually been designed for a specific context, be that passenger transport or military transport. The system is usually designed to transport people or goods safely; particularly with military vehicles, the vehicle may also have other capabilities such as being able to defend itself.
