ABSTRACT
As mentioned earlier in chapter 3, a trunk attribute is an administratively adjustable parameter that can be used to influence the behavioral characteristics of a traffic trunk. Trunk attributes can be either manually assigned to traffic trunks through administrative action or automatically assigned by the underlying protocols when packets are classified and mapped into forwarding equivalence classes (FECs) at the ingress to a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network.
