ABSTRACT
ECONOMICS What can American philosophers and economists learn from each other? This entry focuses on one strand of American philosophy, namely, pragmatism as expressed in the thought of John Dewey (e.g. 1958). It also focuses on one strand of economics, namely, the theory of choice. In particular, the entry limits its scope to what economists can learn from pragmatism.
