ABSTRACT
The therapeutic uses of many of the drugs prescribed today were discovered by accident either from natural extracts (eg digoxin, aspirin, quinine, morphine, actinomycin D, vincristine, tubocurarine, penicillin) or as unintended sideeffects (eg practolol, iproniazid, tamoxifen, minoxidil, sildenafil).
