ABSTRACT
As we saw in chapter 3, in the early centuries of Christianity, people longed to be closer to the divinity in searching for magic. In the same way, ancient people (like modern ones) longed for dreams to communicate with the spiritual world, and not surprisingly the experience of martyrs contributed to the growing dream wisdom.
