ABSTRACT
JOHN THORNE CRISSEY was born in Tonawanda, NY on July 19, 1924. He received his M.D. from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine in 1946. He specialized in Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania under Donald Pillsbury. He returned to Buffalo in 1952, joined Earl D.Osborne in practice, and took over the didactic training of dermatologic residents in the University program. In 1964 he joined the faculty of the University of Southern California Medical School, where he continues to teach with distinction. In 1991 he became full Professor of Dermatology.
