ABSTRACT
MORITZ KAPOSI was born Moritz Kohn, October 23, 1837, in Kaposvar, Hungary. He completed his early education at Pressburg, and in 1861 took his M.D. at the University of Vienna. From 1866 to 1869 he served as an assistant to Hebra; he later married his teacher’s daughter. After terms as Privatdozent and Associate Professor, he took over the chair at the University in 1881, following the death of Hebra, and remained at this post until his own death, March 6, 1902.
