ABSTRACT
JULIUS FRIEDRICH ROSENBACH was born December 16, 1842, at Grohnde. He studied at Heidelberg, Göttingen; Vienna, Paris, and Berlin, taking his degree in 1867. He became an assistant to Baum and Schweigger, qualified in surgery in 1872, and in 1877 began as a Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Surgical Polyclinic in Göttingen.
