ABSTRACT

FELIX PINKUS was born on April 4, 1868, in Berlin. He received his medical education at the University of Freiburg, and was graduated in 1893. After several years of research, he became an assistant to Neisser, in Breslau. It was during this period that he acquired a basic knowledge of dermatology, and at the same time his research talents were employed in investigations of the anatomy of the skin. He continued his dermatologic training as a student of Jadassohn in Bern, and did further postgraduate work at l’Hôpital Saint Louis in Paris.
