ABSTRACT

CARL LEINER was born in Flöhau, Bohemia, January 23, 1871. He studied in Vienna and Prague, and took his degree in the latter city in 1896. Following his graduation he worked in the Hautklinik and the Pathological Institute of Vienna and became an assistant at the Caroline Hospital for Children. In 1912 he qualified as a lecturer in pediatrics. From 1920 until his death, April 24, 1930, he served as Primarzt at the Mautner-Markhofschen Children’s Hospital in Vienna.
