ABSTRACT
BENJAMIN LIPSCHUETZ was born on October 4, 1878, in Brody, Galicia (Austria). He received his medical education in Vienna, and was graduated in 1902. Following this he studied widely, spending some time with Missen in Breslau, and also a period at the Pasteur Institute. In 1915 he was made chief of the skin clinic at the Children’s Hospital in Vienna. He was made Professor only a few months before his premature death, on December 20, 1931.
