ABSTRACT

CLARENCE GUY LANE was born in Billerica, Massachusetts, on October 21, 1882. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1908 and entered general practice in Woburn until 1914. Following service with the Army Medical Corps in World War I, he became a member of the dermatology staff at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1919. Having been associated with the Department of Dermatology at Harvard from 1925, he was made Clinical Professor of Dermatology in 1939, and held the title of Emeritus Professor from 1947.
