ABSTRACT

AGOSTINO PASINI (1875–1944). A graduate of Pavia University, he was a resident in the Department of Dermatology in Parma, headed by Mibelli. In 1905 he started his career in a Milanese Hospital, developing a small Unit of Clinical Research. Rapidly he became teacher of Dermosyphilology in the post-graduate courses and, soon after, he was the first Professor and Chairman of Dermatology at the University of Milan that was founded in 1924. Subsequently, he organized a large university hospital clinic with facilities for teaching and research and, in addition, he founded the first Library of Dermatology within the Department.
