ABSTRACT

ALBERT SÉZARY (1880–1956) was born and raised in Algiers. A brilliant student, he pursued his medical studies in Paris, rose steadily through the standard hospital ranks to Professor agrégé in 1927, and served as Physician to l’Hôpital St. Louis from 1928 to 1945. He learned his dermatology on the service of Edouard Jeanselme, whom he succeeded. Sézary also had credentials in neurology, having served some two years as an interne under Joseph Jules Déjerine.
