The West gets involved

Relations between Russia and the West have a long history of complications, at times even of deep mutual suspicion and hostility. Looking at the most recent series of divisions that have been provoked, both among Russians and among Westerners, concerning the potential merits of Russia’s post-Soviet path of development, we can see familiar mental structures emerging that have deep historical roots.
