ABSTRACT
When all the strands are laid parallel to each other, maximum strength results in one direction. This strength is supplied for end-uses such as solid rods or bars. Product application would include guy strain insulators, golf clubs, etc. The strength perpendicular to the axis of the fibres is dependent on the shear strength of the matrix.
