ABSTRACT

In the Introduction it has been seen that Roman Catholics profess the same creed as most other Christians. But does this make Roman Catholics Christians? While this may seem self-evident, it is a statement which, for different reasons, may be objected to both by some Roman Catholics and by some non-Catholics. This chapter will look at two things. First of all it will discuss the relationship between Roman Catholicism and worldwide Christianity, and then examine how the former exists in the modern world, its size and its geographical spread.
