ABSTRACT
Circulation of groundwater through karstified rocks is quite different from circulation through nonkarst terranes. This circulation is a specific hydrogeological characteristic of karst terranes. Almost all underground and surface phenomena in karst are, by their origin, related to the presence and circulation of water.
