ABSTRACT
As mentioned in Chapter 14, there have been developments in both the semantic Web and Web mining. The challenge now is to carry out semantic Web mining (see [NGDM02]). The question is, what does it mean to mine the semantic Web? Note that the semantic Web is about machine-understandable Web pages, making the Web more intelligent and able to perform useful services for the user. This means that the information in the Web pages may have to be mined so that the machine can understand the Web pages. Essentially, we need to carry out machine learning on the Web pages and other information on the Web.
