ABSTRACT
Part I discussed supporting technologies for Web data mining; Part II will discuss the impact of Web data mining on these technologies. In this chapter, we provide an overview of Web data mining. Note that Part II also discusses tools and applications for Web data mining. However, the major application considered in this book will be discussed in Part III; that application is counter-terrorism.
