ABSTRACT
The previous chapters have provided some information on Web data management and Web data mining. We discussed Web data mining with respect to data management, information retrieval, information management, and semantic Web technologies. We also provided an overview of multimedia data mining on the Web. Many of the concepts addressed in this book have been influenced by various research prototyping activities, which also influence commercial products. Research does not stop when the products are developed. Researchers and standards organizations examine products, figure out ways to make improvements, and develop more prototypes and standards. Therefore, this is a cyclic operation.
