ABSTRACT
Biomedical-image analysis has been an attractive area for application of advanced classification techniques. Sonka and Fitzpatrick [1] provide a thorough review of classification methods ranging from computer vision through statistical approaches to machine learning. Most general classification methods have been applied in various contexts such as object recognition, registration, segmentation, and feature extraction, resulting in further advances to answer the demands and requirements of the clinical application domain.
