ABSTRACT

The neurovascular bundle to the upper limb proceeds through several confined spaces. The subclavian artery and brachial plexus go together while the vein follows a different route. The brachial plexus arises mostly from the cervical spine. At the same time, the subclavian artery leaves the adjacent mediastinum, while its accompanying vein enters. These neurovascular elements run through narrow passages located at the root of the neck, the thoracic outlet and the axilla.
