ABSTRACT

Humphreys and Forde (2001), referring to the model of Humphreys, Lamote, and Lloyd-Jones (1995), describe “stored structural descriptions” as representing information about the shape of objects. It is not therefore clear in the model where colour, texture, and pattern information are stored. However, from the representation of their current model in Figure 3 of Humphreys and Forde (2001), it would appear that a position similar to that of Warrington and McCarthy (1987) is held. The results would presumably therefore be compatible with the HIT.
