ABSTRACT
In Chapter 6, we introduced the project management body of knowledge, or PMBOK, process groups — initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing. The PMBOK also defines nine knowledge areas for classifying these processes. Each project management process will belong to a knowledge area and a process group, as shown in Figure 7.1. Section III will identify SCM project processes and assign them to our SCM knowledge areas and the five PMBOK process groups.
