ABSTRACT
This chapter sets the stage for an expanded description of project management vocabulary and structure. One can effectively argue that improving one’s supply chain is impossible without competence in project management. Just ask people at one of the many companies that, through lack of focus, patience, skills, or money, generally cannot implement initiatives. When we reach Section III, we’ll also see that juggling too many projects may also limit the pace of change.
