ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book brings together different interacting threads related to education and educational leadership with a focus on Muslim's education in the UK. The key strands of this book are knowledge and education in Islam, the role of educational leaders from an Islamic perspective, gender and educational leadership in Islam and Muslim societies, education of Muslims in multi-ethnic societies and Islamic faith schools. The book provides the principles of Islamic lifeworld. For Muslims, as for many people, religion is part of their historical and cultural background. Islamophobia can be both a subjective and objective term and must take into account the nuanced differences between religious, racial and ethnic discrimination. The aim is to recognize and appreciate the complexity of social context and acknowledge the value of diverse social groups as a basis for democratic dialogue, hopefully leading to productive co-existence.
