ABSTRACT

Overall patterns of an organization are important, but so are the details of the organizational assessment. Chapter 6 outlined organizational structures; however, within those structures you need to monitor how the information assets are being managed and how capably people are meeting the organization’s objectives. The goal is to identify problems that diminish the value of the enterprise’s information assets. All value is realized through the actions of the organization’s people. All problems are identified through the analysis and insight of those working for the organization. All solutions are implemented through the talent and creativity of those committed to the organization’s success. And when those creative ideas and improvements are implemented for all to see, trust grows and interest is generated in further improvement.
