ABSTRACT

We have yet to benefit fully from the power of information assets in our learning processes. So far, we have been more interested in making sure our information assets appear valuable to potential investors. An important constituency certainly, but the power of information assets lies in our ability to leverage these assets; one example of leveraging information assets is cultivating these assets for human learning. Improving the learning environment encourages innovative ideas from the people closest to the information’s source, and their success increases with effective information management. Effective management can merge the typically separate worlds of working and learning to achieve synergy and even innovation.
