ABSTRACT
QuickBooks® by Intuit has become standard bookkeeping software for small businesses. It is quite adaptable and can readily be set up to help you with your private practice. We use QuickBooks® Pro for Windows. In this addendum we will provide basic information for setting up QuickBooks® for a private practice that is organized as a sole proprietorship. This brief overview is in no way meant to be comprehensive, but is just a thumbnail presentation of how QuickBooks® can be applied to a therapy practice. Other excellent accounting software programs include Peachtree Accounting by Best Software and ACCPAC Simply Accounting. We recommend you find one that works for you and adapt it to your needs.
